I received an API gun safety harness as a gift 15 years ago.I've used it on hundreds of hunts and it is still is in great shape.I made sure that my grand children used it on every hunt that I took them on.It's the only safe way to raise a gun to an elevated stand.Attach it to your gun before you leave home as it makes for safe carry also & adds very little weight to the gun & you won't forget it! I bought my children each one over the years & I bought 6 more from Wings Supply for my grand kids for Christmass. Thanks API & Wings Supply for this safety device.

the idea is so simple that I am surprised someone didn't come up with it years ago. we all know, or I hope you do, that the only way to raise and lower a gun to and from a treestand is unloaded and muzzle down. this device makes it possible with no hassles or worries. I would add here that I leave about a foot of extra rope once I attach the safety harness to my pull up rope to tie around the pistol grip-not that I don't trust Velcro, but I am not going to take the chance of it coming loose and dropping my weapon! the muzzle cover is big enough to handle anything you want to put into it-bow, muzzleloader, rifle, or shotgun and when you are done for the season or day the whole unit packs up in the muzzle cover and no mess or tangled ropes or cords-priceless! you won't be disappointed.

Everyone who gun hunts from a loc on or permanent stand should have one of these. Easy to use and works great!!

Barely minimum but does the job intended for a reasonable price. Small enough to fit in your pocket and hoist your gun safely....

Rubber cup to prevent dirt is good, the string that came with it is quite small and I would not trust it on my rifle. Not real easy to use in the dark, I would suggest putting on at home/in the truck and then just clip it to the pull rope.

This has to be the best way I have ever seen to pull your gun up to you in a tree stand.Great for the young hunter just going out on his or her own. all accidents can be prevented, and this will definably help the cause

Perfect to keep dirt and debris out of the muzzle of your firearm while raising and lowering from your tree stand.
