When designing the DLC Covert MP6 Scouting Trail Camera Covert had one thing in mind: build a capable camera for a low cost! They accomplished this by including several key components and features from their top shelf cameras while taking away some of the frills to cut cost. Notice that they didn't take away quality that run manufacturing cost up. Today's trail camera consumer is bombarded with fancy features and options that normally don't add up to function and value. It's become common place for companies to make claims but never back them up.

The DLC Covert MP6 Scouting Trail Camera makes one claim: MORE BANG for the BUCK! With all the function and features included, it's easy to back up that claim.

DLC Covert MP6 Scouting Trail Camera Features:

  1. Great camera for price

Posted by Justin from Mississippi on 16th Jan 2013

Got my MP6 right after the new year and have been impressed so far. Takes great day time pics and moving night time pics are only slightly blurred. No issues with leaks and such, seems completely weatherproof. Flash range is great at night, especially if you have the luxury of a backdrop for it to illuminate. Ease of operation is superb. Video I have collected so far is just ok, but its hard to get great video with any trailcam. After getting over 500pics and 5 minutes of video, battery bar on screen indicates still being full. I did get some but very, very few "empty" pics where camera seemingly shoots at nothing.

No true downsides, althought the detection range seems to not be as far as the flash range as advertised. This may not be the case, only a little more time and more pics will tell. You can review photos with the onboard viewer, but screen is so tiny most pics of game at much distance is impossible to differentiate. Not really impressed with the attachment strap although it serves its purpose, but have seen better.

Will be purchasing several more of these over the next year, especially if I can find them for the price I got my first one for from Wing Supply.

  2. Middle Lightweight Champion

Got two of these on Black Friday and LOVE THEM! They are easy to set up, take great shots and are easy on the batteries - through 100s of shots each night since setting them up. Incidentally, I do have another in the DLC from their product line which is an upgrade and is also superb, but that doesn't diminish this little gem. Other engineered strap are a bit faster to attach, but they cinch tight, and with the "bear boxes" also available through Wings, you'll need a cable lock anyway. Wish that they could handle more than 8 GB cards, as the pix add up fast! The folks here at Wings also do well with your orders.

  3. Good Camera

The good: Compact, user friendly, great day and night pics. Great battery life, weather tight, nice attatchment strap.
The bad: After two months of rough Upper Michigan weather and about 3000 pics, ummm NO BAD to report.

  4. great camera

I have tried a few other cameras, and this is by far the best camera I've bought. Great pictures and video, and simple to use. I plan on buying another one very soon. I will buy nothing but covert cameras from now on.

  6. Covert MP6

Posted by Jon W on 14th Sep 2012

I've had my MP6 for a few weeks now. When I first got it, I put it on a tree in my back yard. At night, it was picking me up at 60 ft away, and during the day it was picking up cars on the road, and the road had to be at least 100 ft away. It works well in the woods. I had to adjust the camera, it was angled slightly downward and was lighting up the food plot more than anything at night. The pictures are very nice.

This is my 2nd Covert cam. The first was a Special Ops. A tree fell on the Special Ops and broke the antenna off.I called Covert, and I asked them if they sold replacement antennas and the guy said " Just give me your address and I'll send you one free of charge". The camera was even out of warranty. I had a new antenna in 2 days! That is what customer service ought to be like.
