Realizing there will always be a need for the rugged warmth of a quality neoprene wader, our collective minds set out to develop a wader superior to any previously offered. Our challenge was to eliminate the universal miseries associated with neoprene waders such as the lack of breathability, burdening weight, and unnecessarily restrictive fit. First, our designers asked the obvious question, “How often does a duck hunter spend prolonged periods of time in water above his waist? Answer: “Almost never!” This question resulted in the most noticeable improvement over conventional neoprene waders. From the waist up, the PlayMaker is constructed of our virtually weightless fabric featuring SHEDS™ waterproof and breathable laminate. From the waist down, the PlayMaker consists of 5mm neoprene with ultra-waterproof fully taped seams, 900D reinforced knees, and 1200 gram Thinsulate™ Ultra insulation in the boots. Our end result provides maximum warmth, minimal weight and bulk, comfort, and an ultra-tough construction.
