Well, I bought a new M880 to add to my two M80s. Did not know the 880 needed a different box. I plan to cut the opening to allow the extra sensors in the 880 to function. That way I retain the features of the old box, without the problems of the new box mentioned in another review.

Purchased the new Moultrie M880 and the security box for the camera. I have a number of issues with the new design. The 1st issue I have is that the only security cable that will fit the box is a 5/16 python cable which is only available in a 6 foot length which severely limits mounting this camera on large trees. The old design on the M80 supported up to a 3/8 inch cable which this new box should have as well. My 2nd issue has to do with installing the camera and then securing the box and camera. Once you put the camera in the box and install the front cover you then have to insert the python cable through the security box and the camera and out the other side of the security box and then secure the cable. You see the new M880 camera has holes in the rear of the camera for a python cable. If you want to access the camera to check you pictures you have to remove the cable from the entire box. It takes too much time.
Since I have the old M80xd camera I installed it in the mini cam security box and it fits perfectly and why shouldn’t it. It’s the same size as the old M80 and you don’t have to remove a security cable to access your camera. Moultrie messed up on this design.
