I have known about my hearing loss since separation from the USCG in 1978. Tinnitis is a constant "ringing in the ears" that is permanent and non-repairable. I have tinnitis. It is sometime loud and is exacerbacted by high blood pressure. Using the Ultra Ear did enhance the outdoor frequencies that have long been absent in my hearing. I have not manipulated the Ultra Ear sufficiently to ascertain the "sweet spot" for my hearing that eliminates the white noise while "fine tuned" to a mid-range volume. The Ultra Ear is "tunable". More "field time" is required on my part for that. However, my initial report is that the Ultra Ear does as advertised, and probably MORE, for an increadably low introductory price that just can't be overlooked. I bought two. One for each ear. They are ambidexterous. Each will work in either ear.
