For individuals who are interested in testing out the many uses of hearing amplification while in the field, Walkers Game Ear is offering the Ultra Ear. This new product, from the leader in hearing protection and sound amplification, offers consumers the opportunity to try sound amplification in the field in a cost-effective manner.
The Ultra Ear is a low cost hearing amplification system that is lightweight and can be used in either ear. An adjustment system allows the user to modify tone and volume for optimum hearing. It also incorporates a mild compression circuit to help muffle muzzle blasts.
Unlike, the other Game Ear products, the Ultra Ear is imported from China is not waterproof and comes with no warranty. According to Bob Walker, Founder of Walkers Game Ear, we decided to import this product for those that want to test the waters of hearing amplification. It is not intended, nor could it, ever compare or compete with our complete line of state-of-the-art Game Ear products. We are confident that once consumers hear what they have been missing in the field they will understand all of the benefits of our line of premier products.

I have known about my hearing loss since separation from the USCG in 1978. Tinnitis is a constant "ringing in the ears" that is permanent and non-repairable. I have tinnitis. It is sometime loud and is exacerbacted by high blood pressure. Using the Ultra Ear did enhance the outdoor frequencies that have long been absent in my hearing. I have not manipulated the Ultra Ear sufficiently to ascertain the "sweet spot" for my hearing that eliminates the white noise while "fine tuned" to a mid-range volume. The Ultra Ear is "tunable". More "field time" is required on my part for that. However, my initial report is that the Ultra Ear does as advertised, and probably MORE, for an increadably low introductory price that just can't be overlooked. I bought two. One for each ear. They are ambidexterous. Each will work in either ear.
