I bought this trail camera on sale and at a great price.
Set up was a breeze. While the manual was not the greatest detail, once you power the camera on, the menu was easy to follow.
I used this camera with 12 mp pics and each was very clear. The exception to this was at night with IR and at very close range. At these times, the picture was washed out. You may be able to correct this, I have not tried as of yet.
The pictures are viewable either in the field, or downloads to your PC/MAC. On connecting the camera to my MAC, they imported into iPhoto just like any other camera. Very easy.

I have had this camera for 2weeks and so far no problems. Great pictures and awesome videos, I love the fact it has audio when in video mode and the picture and video mode combined. I also like the security mode it has as well. The pictures are very clear and simply amazing for a trail camera. I would highly recommend this camera.

I have had my Red 40 for about 1 1/2 weeks. It was extremely easy to set up and program. It takes good pics with a few disappointments. At the time between dusk and dark it will take almost white out pictures. It also does not take good pictures if there is much movement, they come out blurry. Or if the animal is very close to the camera sometimes they will be completely bright white( at night). I have only had two day time pics and of the two animals in the pic, one was clear one with a slight blur, but the color was good. The pictures that are taken about twelve feet from the camera are very good of amimals the size of deer but smaller animals are mot very clear sometimes you have to take an educated guess about what it is.
I have the camera set at normal sensitivity and that seems to work really well. It seems to be picking up motion early on but I have a lot of pictures with animals directly in the center.
The viewing screen is very small so I take the sd card to the computer everyday to look at the pictures, but you can see horns if that is your objective.
I purchased this specific camera after a lot of research. I was looking for a camera that would produce really great quality photos. They are overall not as good as I personally had hoped. But, of you are looking for a camera just to capture images to track the coming and going of deer at your feeder or food plot it will work fine. It does have moon phase , date and times stamps on each picture although I can not read it on the view screen in the field.
I have the camera set to take two pics at a time and it takes them so fast that most of the time they look identical which makes me wander why there is blur on pictures where the animal is moving.
For the most part I am happy with this camera. It is my first game camera and I would purchase it again. Oh, I should mention that there is not a single picture that shows any animals being startled by the infrared flash, it has captured deer, raccoon, armadillo, fox, rabbit, opposum, skunk and a pig and nothing seems to notice the camera at all. And it produces absolutely NO sound, which I suspect noise has more to do with most animals being startled by other cameras over the flash.
I have not used the time lapse option intentionally but did have it set the first night and had 800 pictures I didn't need but the option worked perfectly.
