The L5 Waterproof Breathable Jacket is designed as a waterproof breathable outer layer for APXg2 system. Constructed with 2 1/2 layer, multi-directional stretch fabric; this jacket is lightweight, soft, quiet, and comfortable. The construction of a 2 1/2 layer fabric eliminates the need for any lining. A true outer layer of protection against wind and rain with high performance 10MM/10MVTR membrane and waterproof zipper.

Hard to review until tested in Season

This is the outer layer of a layering system and alone I doubt it would keep one warm but it isn't designed to do that. I picked up a pair of APXg2 L3 pants at an overstock store and wore them on several hunts last season, loved them. Waterproof, flexible, plenty of pockets, windproof, breathable, etc. I expect the same if not better performance from this L5 jacket. I have also picked up a pair of APXg2 L5 pants on sale at a local store and purchased the L3 fleece 3/4 zip. I really like this stuff and the layering potential. I normally begin with underarmor base layer, then a polarfleece layer top and bottom, then either another insulating layer and a lightweight shell such as this jacket or something in blaze orange. This stuff is quiet and will keep you warm and dry.
