The L5 Jacket is designed as a waterproof breathable outer layer for the APX system. Constructed with 2 1/2 layer, multi-directional stretch fabric. This jacket is lightweight, soft, quiet, and comfortable. The construction of a 2 1/2 layer fabric eliminates the need for any lining. A true outer layer of protection against the wind and rain with a high performance membrane and waterproof zippers.

Better than expected!

Really pleased with this purchase especially considering the sale price. I took a chance ordering a medium because they were out of large. Russell Outdoors is going out of business I heard. I am 5'10" and 175lbs with an athletic build. Fit great as long as you are not planning to wear over a parka. Over a base or even mid layer should be fine. I bought this and the pants in medium for an early season Wyoming archery elk hunt. This is perfect and could easily be used as a soft shell jacket and save some space in the pack.
