This unit has survived multiple bear attacks and keeps on running. It is now on it's second bucket. One Energizer battery lasts 8-9 months. No adjustment, just install the battery and hang the feeder....that's all.

Electronics are reliable, NO CLOCK, I love that. I've been using these for 15+ years.
2 design issues need refining:
1) the mounting hardware makes it practically impossible to replace or repair the unit in the field if using a funnel mounted in a drum, a slight change to the hardware package would fix this.
2) the spinner plate throws the corn against the bottom of the drum thus reducing the radius of the throw pattern, a different plate shape would fix this.

I have 3 of these feeder motors running and installed them on my game feeders 9 years ago and to this date (26 Oct 2011) they have never failed to operate. I use Energizer 6 volt batteries in them and the batteries last 9-12 months feeding year around. The best motor You can buy period!
